Our Weddins'

David and I have been married 3x... to each other!

We first said our vows in the ocean on January 10th in a private ceremony marking the one-year anniversary of when I first met the boys. Being a surfer family, we decided to say our vows, facilitated by my dear friend Rachael, in the marine reserve below where David and the boys have grown up. A small family reception followed at David's parent's house that included a dip in the hot tub to warm up (January ocean is coooold!) and hot, homemade Kürtőskalács (Hungarian baked deliciousness) to celebrate.

I've never been a weddin' person, in fact, I never thought I'd take the plunge. But our ocean ceremony was the weddin' of my dreams, rich with meaning and beauty with the ocean bearing witness to our family.  I couldn't imagine anything more stunning, intimate, and perfect.

Weddin' 2 was a San Francisco City Hall weddin' just two days later on January 12th, from the comfort of our couch, quarantine style; it wouldn't be a COVID marriage without Zoom and house shoes! Having a second weddin' two days later wasn't ideal, but it did give me an opportunity to wear a city hall weddin' dress. Haha, I avoided getting married for this long, may as well have a well-rounded, thorough weddin' experience. ;)

Third times the charm! Weddin' 3 was on Saturday, May 22nd where local family and friends joined us oceanside to witness our vows. Our ceremony was the start of our Be Bayou World Tour. The be bayou theme is a play on my Louisiana roots, but also speaks to the fact that we are all able to gather, many of us for the first time in a group setting in more than a year. It was a stunning, warm, and sunny day oceanside and everyone was dressed so fabulously; it was nice to have a reason to get dressed up again! It had been chilly and cold for weeks up until the day before our ceremony. Our wedding day not only was warm and sunny, but the wind stopped at 3:00 when our celebration began and started back up again with a chill just after our exit. We take it as a sign that mother nature approves!

Over 100 guests logged on from around the world to witness our celebration via Livestream, but just before the ceremony began the Livestream crashed, leaving a lot of folks waiting up at all hours of the day and night around the globe. We apologize and hope y'all will enjoy an edited version of our Livestream and photos below! You can also download our wedding playlist here.

Thank y'all so much for celebrating the start of this new chapter together!
